Walking tour – “Moscato Land and Hazelnuts”

Come to Castagnole delle Lanze and follow with us this gastronomic path lasting about 4 hours!

We will start together from a historic winery, Cantine Dogliotti 1870.

After a few minutes of walking, we will arrive in the center of the village, to discover its history through the medieval buildings, the churches, but above all the Panoramic Tower of Count Paolo Ballada di San Robert, in the shadow of which we will stop for the first of our stages: Terre Bianche Farm Here we can taste his majesty the “Nocciola Piemonte” (Hazelnut) and all the delights that derive from it, such as crèmes and crisps. A few meters away the Criolin Farm will make us taste the excellent typical wines of production, such as Moscato d’Asti DOCG and Barbera d’Asti DOCG, cultivated with passion and competence in this land.

We will resume our journey and we will walk the white and sunny roads, regaining the open countryside. Along the vineyards we will go up the hill and reach the Azienda Agricola Piero Cane, where we will taste the pleasant Rosato di Nebbiolo and a delicate blend of native white grapes individually vinified. After a short walk on the panoramic coast of the hill, we will arrive at Tenuta San Maur,o where we will meet the refined wines produced by the estate, such as the aromatic Moscato d’Asti DOCG and Barbaresco DOCG.

With eyes full of colors and senses inebriated with unique aromas and flavors, we will return through the vineyards and fields to the Cantine Dogliotti 1870, where to await us, in addition to the well-deserved rest, there will be the last tasting of local wines and vermouths that, since 1870, the company produces with competence and passion. In combination with the wines of the company we will have the opportunity to know an extraordinary product: the aromatic and pungent saffron of the Saglietti 1941 Farm through chocolate and grappas containing the precious Piedmontese “red gold”.
