Ready, organic breakfast, go!

Our ride will start from an enchanted forest, the one where plants, animals and people live in harmony and no one prevails over the others: it is the Bosco delle Galline Volanti, a farm where we will have the opportunity to touch what it means to really love the kitchen, the land and its fruits, unite them and make it a masterpiece. Here, after an invigorating and tasty breakfast based on organic and delicious products, we will leave for our suggestive ride in the heart of the Langhe.

From here we will cycle towards the Chapel of the Madonna delle Grazie or of the Brumate, a name deriving from that of the Nebbiolo vineyards that surround it. In 1999 the artists David Tremlett and Sol LeWitt decorated it together and, in front of a breathtaking view, they shared the work equally, taking care of the interior and exterior of the deconsecrated building; today the chapel is one of the symbols of the lands of Barolo and these hills all over the world, attracting over 60,000 visitors every year.

First stop. The beauties of La Morra

We will resume the E-bike to pedal towards La Morra, we will arrive in the town center where we can enjoy one of the most famous and evocative Belvedere of Piedmont, an endless sea of vineyard and combed hills, scattered with tiny red roofs and bell towers that from the observation point will seem only small colored points. A unique panorama in the world!

Leaving, we will arrive in Frazione Annunziata, where we can admire the centuries-old and gigantic Cedar of Lebanon of La Morra, the tree that dominates the hill of Monfalletto and whose incredible story begins in 1856, when Costanzo Falletti di Rodello and Eulalia Della Chiesa di Cervignasco planted it in memory of their wedding, thus sealing two loves: the reciprocal one and that of their family for these lands.
Even today, after centuries in which they witnessed the fleeting and fleeting history of the men who admired it, its long branches, shaped by the wind, develop horizontally with vigor and majesty, as if to protect the precious Vineyards of Nebbiolo da Barolo that surround it.

We will then reach the Angelo Germano Winery, a historic winery that has always belonged to the Germano family, which since 1902 has been producing Barolo and typical wines with passion and pride, handing down from father to son the love for this land and its precious wines. Here we will taste the wine tapped directly from the barrels in aging, scrutinizing the Barolo that is preparing to become large and to be bottled

Second stage. The breathtaking landscapes of Monforte

We will resume our ride in the direction of Monforte and, enjoying an unparalleled landscape, we will consume our gourmet picnic on the roof of the Langhe, admiring and tasting the typical features of Diego Bongiovanni’s Piedmont selection.

We will then reach the Cantina Conterno Fantino, a splendid agricultural estate that from the top of the hill dominates the valley below, placidly immersed in vineyards cultivated with organic methods and structures completely grafted with the surrounding nature, in perfect balance and respect for the nature of the place. Here we will taste the excellent wines and visit the suggestive barrel cellar where Barolo rests, waiting to present itself and be appreciated all over the world and we will observe the hills from the panoramic elevator that climbs and adds height to height and beauty to the already breathtaking panorama.

Third stage. Tastings and family stories

From here we will cycle to the Simone Scaletta company, a small family business that, perfectly set among its six hectares of vineyard like a small blue and precious stone among the green hills, produces excellent typical wines that we will be able to taste and appreciate together with its nice and passionate producers.

Fourth stage. Barolo and Casa Svizzera

After the tasting, we will get back on the saddle and, passing through the picturesque villages of Monchiero and then Novello, we will finally reach Barolo where, at the Agriturismo Casa Svizzera, we will once again find the splendid wines of the Angelo Germano Winery and we will have the opportunity to taste them, immersed in a unique environment, the old chalet of the Albergo Svizzera completely renovated and overlooking the vineyards and the square of Barolo.
We will thus reach the end of our day in the Langhe and thanks to this unforgettable we will all be a little happier … Seeing is believing! Travel with us!

The products for tasting and the participating companies may undergo variations according to the seasonality of the products themselves and the possibilities and availability of producers linked to agricultural work in the summer and autumn period.
